We really enjoyed working with you these last couple of months. Treat yourself to a nice dinner on us and enjoy! I will call you when the barn and pasture gets up that way we can get Madeline back up riding and look at training your younger horse! Thanks again!" Kate (VanBenthuysen) & Justin December 2, 2009 "Thank you for going above and beyond your duties, especially with the mattress! We know this has not been an easy deal, and we appreciate your calm patience and solid advice. We hope you, your colleagues, and family enjoy all the Iowa goodies!" Eric (Poehlien), Molly (Sartorius) & Aiden November 2, 2009 "Thank you for all the work you did in marketing our house. I always felt confident that we were doing our best – even though it didn’t, in the end, sell. I will definitely pass your name along to anyone I know trying to sell or purchase a home." Jenny and Doug Coon August 25, 2009 "First let Kimetha and me thank you, more than we could ever begin to sufficiently, for the time, energy and money you spent to help us find our home in Columbia. Your tireless efforts, your availability and your incredible professionalism are a rare commodity in these times. One would think with the real estate market as slow as it is in most places, a great realtor would be easy to find. But it is not the case. YOU both epitomize the meaning of the word Realtor. You picked us up at the drop of a hat; you showed us listings you probably knew would not be right, but served us in every way possible to make sure we left no stone unturned. It is rare in business that you meet someone who you hope will become a friend for life – Kimetha and I wish this with you and Karla. While our search has not been completed, certainly not for what has been a super-human effort on your parts, I know we will find a home in Columbia for us and for our animals. It may not be this week or month, but it will be soon and it will be because of your untiring efforts. The Vicky Shy Team is what every Realtor should strive to become. You are the face of service and love for your profession. Thank you so much!" Jason Ingram & Kimetha Fairchild, MD May 19, 2008 "When we first received the news that we were relocating out of state with Chuck’s job, we experienced a wide range of emotion. Once reality set in we began our list of things that needed to be done to make the move, selling our house topped the list. We began interviewing agents. Each agent had their own style and opinion as to what our listing price should be. After asking a lot of questions, gathering tons of information we decided to list our house with you. We based our decision on knowledge of the market, marketability of our home, and the bottom line…who would sell our house the fastest and for the most money. The first meeting I had with Karla and Vicky they asked ME about OUR home, what we liked about our house, what we liked about the neighborhood and then took notes. After assessing OUR needs they offered the best solution to help us achieve our number one goal, sell our house quickly and receive the closet possible price to list price. Through a formal presentation (the only one we received) we had the opportunity to look at what other homes in our neighborhood were listing/selling, how the Shy Team was going to market and sell our home and the professional recommendation to list our home. Through a series of open houses and multiple showings, we were able to sell our home within the first 30 days. All other properties in our neighborhood had already been on the market an average of 105 days. We were thrilled! I’m actually not sure how with three kids and my husband already working in Virginia I could keep the house clean; it really was a life saver. One of the areas we really overlooked when listing our house, was evaluating our agent on negotiating skills. Karla and Vicky were amazing! There are a range of emotions a seller goes through when selling a home and this is heightened when a buyer is trying to get the best deal. Karla and Vicky were able to help us determine counter offers and negotiating a price we were comfortable with. Together, 33 years of experience showed because they were able to help us get the best price for our home in the amount of time we wanted to sell our home. We really appreciated the extra effort that was made to sell our home and we would definitely recommend the Shy Team! " Angela and Chuck Huhman March 13, 2008 "Thank you for all the work you did for us in selling our house. Your services were amazing considering that we selected you from the yellow pages and your website. You treated us like we were selling a million dollar house instead of a $75,000 house. Never once did you make us feel like we were imposing on you with all that we asked you to do for us. We never thought we could have prepared the house for sale from Kearney with only one trip to Columbia, and actually sell it without coming to Columbia. Thanks again for your wonderful service."
